Kaiser Family Foundation has revealed the national average monthly premium per person was $215, though it varied from place to place, as it was $437 in Massachusetts and $136 in Alabama.
The foundation analyzed the data by Mark Farrah Associates to verify last year’s average premiums for individual health insurance in the US.
The foundation stated that the findings from the study of the data included insurer filings and the offerings of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners for consumers and policymakers to measure the affordability of health insurance before the realization of national health reform in the year 2014.
The premiums vary from state to state, as a few states have established the national reforms which will facilitate the people to buy coverage with the existing health conditions. H
