Alastair Seeley Locks in a Shootout Slot in His First British Superbike Season
Relentless by TAS Suzuki will have two riders in the opening round of the Title Fighters’ Shootout that will be held in two weeks at Croft. Alastair Seeley and Michael Laverty each made it into the top six after the outing at Cadwell Park.
In the first race, Michael Laverty had some difficulties after his tyre experienced some slight spinning on the rim, however, Laverty went on to finish his day at Cadwell Park with a pair of fourth place finishes that has him set up well for final run for the championship.
Alastair Seeley’s performance in the first race saw him running a calculated race, as he extended his lead over his closest Shootout rival John Laverty to a margin of 18 points with an eighth place finish. Seeley’s eighth place finish in the first race gave him the comfort he needed for the second contest, which places the British Superbike rookie into the Title Fighters’ Shootout.
The team manger of Relentless by TAS Suzuki, Philip Neil stated that the objective since the beginning of the season was to get both racers into the top six had been accomplished; now we are going into the business part of the season. Neil also extended a thank you to Suzuki, Relentless and all that had been a part of their success thus far.
